VICTOR, N.Y. (March 30, 2010) — Info Directions, a leading developer of net-centric billing, rating, order management, workflow and selling solutions for the telecommunications industry, is pleased to announce that communications leader Mitel® has launched its Mitel Mobile service on CostGuard® OSS/BSS. Mitel Mobile, offered through Mitel NetSolutions, offers wireless voice and data services specifically designed for use by corporate customers. Mitel is using the company’s line of software solutions in the Info Directions ASP to manage rating, billing and customer care for its enhanced product offerings.
An Info Directions client for 11 years, Mitel’s move to create a combined fixed line and mobile network service solution for corporate customers helps businesses take control of their network and wireless service expenditures and provides a single point of accountability for customer care and support. Mitel is also leveraging features within their proven, industry-leading communications software platform, Mitel Communications Director (MCD), to enable voice and UCC features to be managed like data applications on a corporate server. With CostGuard, Mitel has an all-in-one solution that creates visibility into each client’s communications needs.
As Mitel NetSolutions has expanded its network service offerings, CostGuard has supported that growth and offered new ways to gain efficiencies through automation and workflow. The solution also provides support for Mitel to create unique product and service bundles. The addition of wireless service to Mitel’s portfolio leverages Info Directions’ experience in both the facilities-based and MVNO markets.
"A bundled service platform simplifies support and billing for our clients and gives them the ability to manage their wireline and wireless networks from the perspective of one integrated service," says Jon Brinton, president of Mitel NetSolutions. "CostGuard gives us the ability to deliver a comprehensive communications solution for our clients so they are able to secure the savings, reliability, and flexibility that is so crucial to an enterprise network."
"As a long-standing Info Directions client Mitel has continued to evolve and grow its business," said Donald Culeton, president and CEO of Info Directions. "For progressive, service-focused organizations like Mitel, CostGuard’s ability to support a convergent business model is aligned with the vision that communications service providers need to have in order to remain competitive in today’s market."
Mitel Mobile customers will receive coverage and benefits similar to those offered by any major wireless network services provider with comparable service level agreements and device options, and enterprise-wide bundling with wireline access and UCC features. Mitel Mobile offers the ability to share wireless minutes among employees across a corporate organization and supports wireless handsets, smartphones, and wireless data cards.
Info Directions’ award-winning CostGuard operations and billing platform delivers a comprehensive, scalable and reliable solution for the convergent communications market. CostGuard helps progressive service providers create a back office system that eliminates the complexity of selling, activating, managing, billing and caring for customers. With the flexibility to support diverse business models, CostGuard provides the infrastructure service providers need to leverage growth opportunities.
