VICTOR, N.Y. (April 27, 2009) — Info Directions, leading developer of billing, rating, order management, workflow and sales software for the telecommunications industry, was honored as one of the “Best Companies to Work for in New York” for 2009 at a gala award ceremony in Albany, N.Y. last week.

The statewide survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in New York, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. The initiative is directed by the New York State Society for Human Resource Management (NYS-SHRM) Council in conjunction with Best Companies Group and the Business Council of New York State.  The program is a multi-year initiative to motivate companies in the state to focus on, measure and move their workplace environments towards excellence.

The Best Companies to Work for in New York list is made up of 40 companies split into two groups: 20 small/medium-sized companies (15-249 employees) and 20 large-sized companies (250 or more employees). Info Directions ranked 16th in the small/medium category. 

 Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 40 Best Companies to Work for in New York. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part of the process consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
